Hip Dysplasia

Medial Shoulder Instability
Can MSI be treated without surgery? Yes! Using tissue-specific clinical tests, join us to learn how to determine if conservative or surgical intervention can be applied to shoulder instabilities. Treatment plan options will then be provided based on the principle of muscular dynamic stabilization. Acute inflammation, sub-acute proliferation and chronic strengthening phases of recovery will include modalities, assistive devices, k-tape, manual therapies and therapeutic exercises. The course will conclude with applying the principles of treatment planning to a cranio-lateral luxation so novel cases can be completed confidently in clinic.
Carpus & Digit Hyper Extension
Can carpus hyperextension be treated without surgery? Sometimes. Carpal hyper extension rehabilitation can get most dogs back to function, including competitive performance. Learn the clinical evaluation tests to determine the primary tissue types injured including joint, FCU, SDF and/or DDF. Then use these clinical findings to help guide diagnostics. Based on clinical signs and diagnostics, guidelines are provided for use of k-tape, over-the-counter supports or custom orthotics. Anatomy-based Kinesiotape
Join us to learn how to apply anatomy-based kinesiotaping to your canine patients with muscle strains and joint instabilities. Diagnosis-specific kinesiotaping and therapeutic exercises will be taught for carpus hyper extension, hip dysplasia and stifle instability including cruciate deficiency and patella luxation. Kinesiotaping application options for short-term in-clinic use and long-term home-plan use will be included.
